will be one of the 16 returning characters. I hope she is because she’s a pretty awesome character to play, the her toy figure is pretty cool too.
She was stolen as an egg, but the evil Dragon King called Malefor in the underworld. The poor dragon was raised under the control of this evil dragon, and forced to work for the evil king. She was feared by the Skylands for many years until she was defeated by Spyro. Spyro was able to free her from the grip of Malefor, but dark powers still flow through her. Whilst she wants to make amends for her evil ways, most are fearful of her and try to keep a safe distance!
Series 1 Skylanders Cynder
The Series 1 figure was made for the first video game, called Spyro’s Adventure. Series 1 figures all have green plastic at the bottom of their base. She belongs to the Undead group of Skylanders, and all the figures in that group have a pedestal decorated with a white Skull. She is a purple and pink dragon, but she looks pretty tough, and is posed ready to strike. This series 1 figures can also be used in the Skylanders Giants game.
Series 2 Skylanders Cynder
Series 2 Skylanders Cynder was designed for the Giants game, and has orange on the bottom of the toy’s base. The Series 2 figure has a slightly different pose, and has silver bracelets and a silver neck ring. Apart from her appearance the Series 2 figure plays slightly differently in the video game. She has a special “Wow Pow” upgrade power, and at a certain point in the game you are able to choose from 2 upgrade paths. You can either concentrate on improving her Spectral Lightning attacks or her Ghosts and Shadow Dash attacks. The Series 2 figure can be used in the original Spyro’s Adventure game.
Series 3 Skylanders Cynder
Purple Metallic Cynder
This extraordinary version of Skylanders Cynder is probably one of the rarest and most highly saught after of all the special edition Skylanders figures. She was made to be given out to the lucky few at the New York toy fair in 2012. Only a very limited number of these figures were ever manufactured. The actual figure looks pretty awesome. The figure is the same as a Series 1 version, but painted in metallic purple paint. In the video game itself however, she plays and looks just like the regular version. Because she is in such demand this figure sells for ridiculous amounts of money on eBay and Amazon.
Skylanders Crystal Cynder
Skylanders Crystal Cynder is a very rare Skylanders figures. She was sold exclusively with a Spyro’s Adventure Bundle Pack at GamesStop. This pack contained the Starter Pack, three Adventure Packs, over 15 Skylanders figures and this rare Crystal figure! Because she is so rare, this figure now sells unpackaged for huge amounts of money on eBay and Amazon. She is essentially the same as a Series 1 figure, but made out of a translucent material. She looks exactly like the regular character in the video game itself.
Glow In The Dark Cynder
This figure was designed for the Skylanders Giants video game, and is basically a Series 2 figure, but painted with glow in the dark paint. She was packaged in Starter Packs for the Giants game, exclusive to Walmart and Sam’s Club. You can find her for sale unpackaged online. The Glow in the Dark figure appears just like the regular character in the game.

Series 1 and 2 versions are sold in single character packs. The Series 1 figure is also sold in a triple pack along with Lightning Rod and Zook. Metallic Cynder is sold in a single character pack on Amazon and eBay. If you are very lucky you can find Crystal figure for sale online in a single character pack. The Glow in the dark figure is sold as part of a Starter pack for Skylanders Giants, but can also be found by herself unpackaged online.
