was brought back in the Giants game, and special variant version of him was also created called Royal Double Trouble, that was bundled exclusively with the Skylanders Battlegrounds Pack. Whether there is a brand new version of this awesome character in the highly anticipated Swap Force video game, I don’t know. We’ll have to wait until Fall 2013 to see!
Skylanders Double Trouble loves to cast spells. He went on many expeditions to find rare and exotic ingredients for his potions. High on his list was a rare lilly said to multiply the power of any spell. He could not believe it when he actually found the elusive flower. Without thinking, he ate the plant and then performed a magic spell. The result was a loud pop, then another, then another and before long the spellcaster was surrounded by copies of himself. This delighted him, and he now has mini copies of himself, to keep him company, and that also explode on contact!
Series 1 Skylanders Double Trouble
The Series 1 figure was designed for Spyro’s Adventure, and has green plastic at the bottom of the base. The toy’s base is decorated with moons and stars, showing he belongs to the Magic group of characters. The Double Trouble figure is pretty cool, and is some sort of Tiki Man, with a giant mouth of teeth and crazy green eyes. He carry’s a staff, that has a green ball clasped to the top of it. This Series 1 figure will also play in the Giants game.
Series 2 Skylanders Double Trouble
This version of the character has an orange base to show that he comes from the Giants video game. He has a slightly different pose from the Series 1 figure, and holds a different staff. He also has one of his ‘Doubles’ with him. This figure also has a special “Wow Pow’ upgrade power, and at a certain point in the game there is a choice of 2 upgrade paths. You can either decide to improve his Exploding Doubles ability or his Eldritch Beam and Magic Bombs. This Series 2 figure will also play in the Spyro’s Adventure game.
Royal Double Trouble
This is a special variant version of the Series 2 figure, produced for the Giants game. This rare figure is actually exclusively packaged with the Skylanders Battlegrounds pack, at GameStop only. The figure looks like a Series 1 figure, but painted differently(which is strange since he is part of the Giants game). The figure is purple, with purple gloves, and his staff holds an orange sphere. Royal Double Trouble is very rare and quite sought after, and can be found unboxed on sites such as Amazon or eBay.
