returned in two versions: A regular figure and a Lightcore figure. I don’t know whether a new version will be made for the 3rd game Skylanders Swap Force, that launches in Fall 2013. Once I know any more about this, i will update this page.
As I mentioned above, Drobot is a dragon. Unlike the other dragons, who spent all their time competing in flying battles, he was more interested in taking things apart, and learning how they worked. Using a mysterious technology that he stumbled upon, he was able to assemble a robotic suit. This amazing invention allows him shoot laser beams out of his eyes, fly faster and more skillfully and have a deep booming voice. With his new found skills, he decided to join the Skylanders and help fight Kaos.
Series 1 Skylanders Drobot
The Series 1 figure is the figure designed for the Spyro’s Adventure game, and has green plastic at the bottom of the base. He stands on a base decorated with cogs and gears, and this shows he is a Tech Element Skylander. The figure himself is pretty cool. He is a green and brown dragon, who is wearing a blue and gold robotic suit over his wings, and head. The Series 1 figure will play in the Giants game too.
Series 2 Skylanders Drobot
This version was designed for the Giants game, and has orange on the bottom of the base. The Series 2 figure has a different pose, and his robotic suit also looks slightly different. Also the Series 2 version has a special “Wow Pow” upgrade power, and during the game there is a choice of two different upgrade paths. You can either decide to improve his Eye Blaster Attacks or his Bladegear Attacks. The Series 2 version will still work in the Spyro’s Adventure game.
Series 3 Skylanders Drobot
Lightcore Drobot
Lightcore Drobot is a figure from the Giants game. The cool thing about Lightcore figures is that they light up when placed on or near the Portal of Power. The Lightcore Drobot figure has a slightly different pose than either the Series 1 or 2 versions. When you put him on the portal, a circle on his back lights up orange. I thought it was a shame that his eyes didn’t up too, but he’s still pretty cool. When you first put a lightcore figure on the portal, you also get an initial blast of energy that destroys enemies.

The Series 1 figure is available individually in a single character pack and in a triple character pack, with Flameslinger and Stump Smash. The Series 2 figure is available in a single character pack. The Series 2 version still has not been released, but I think it will be arriving in stores very soon. Lightcore Drobot is available in a single character pack and also a triple pack along with Lightcore Eruptor and Lightcore Prism Break.

What I like about him is that he can shoot lasers really, really fast and he can also shoot gears out of his wings that rebound. He can fly or hover, these are upgrade. He can go fast and shoot while flying. My favorite move is his laser eyes.
