Skylanders Ignitor

We first met Skylanders Ignitor in the original Skylanders game, entitled Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure. He is a pretty awesome character and brought back for the second game in the franchise, called Skylanders Giants. At present I don’t know if he will be one of the 16 returning characters in the 3rd game, called Skylanders Swap Force. At present the only details we have about this is that Stealth Elf is definitely returning.

Ignitor has an unfortunate story. After training as a Knight, he was tricked on his very first quest by an evil witch. She gave him a magical suit or armor, which she told him would be able to resist Dragon’s fire. Wanting to try out the armor, he travelled to a dragon’s lair. However, one blast of flames from the dragon transformed him into a blazing spirit, he was bound to the suit for eternity. Despite his misfortune, this brave character decided to become a Skylander, and help defend the Skylands from evil, whilst also looking out for the witch that tricked him.

Series 1 Skylanders Ignitor

This version was designed for the Spyro’s Adventure video game, and has green plastic on it’s base. The base of the figure is decorated with flames, showing that he is a Fire Element Skylander. He wears a suit of silver and blue armor. Both the top of his helmet and his sword are covered in flames. This Series 1 figure will play in the  Giants game.

Series 2 Skylanders Ignitor

The Series 2 figure is the figure from the Giants video game, and all figure from this game have orange plastic at the bottom of their base. The Series 2 figure has a different pose from the Series 1 figure and is holding a flaming fork, rather that a flaming sword. The Series 2 figure also plays slightly differently in the Giants game. Firstly he has a special “Wow Pow” upgrade power, and secondly, at a certain point in the game, the player can choose from two upgrade paths. The player can either concentrate on improving his Flame Blade or Flame Form abilities. The Series 2 figure can be used in the original Spyro’s Adventure game.

Series 3 Skylanders Ignitor

At present I do not know if he will be in the  Swap Force game. We know 16 characters are returning, which probably means 2 from each of the 8 Skylanders Elements. As soon as I have more information, I will update this page.

Legendary Ignitor

Legendary Ignitor is a special version of the Series 2 version, and was produced for the Giants game. Like all of the other legendary figures, he is painted dark blue and gold. Legendary Ignitor looks different from the regular figure in the video game itself and has slightly different stats.

The Series 1 version can be bought in a single character pack or in a triple character pack, that also includes Series 1 Camo and Series 1 Warnado. The Series 2 figure can also be bought in a single character pack. Legendary Ignitor can be purchased in a triple pack, along with Legendary Slam Bam and Legendary Jet Vac.
