Skylanders Terrafin The Powerful Dirt Shark

Skylanders Terrafin first appeared in the Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure game, as part of the Pirate Seas Adventure Pack. He’s a great character to play, as he’s got some great punch abilities, but can also burrow through the earth, causing plenty of damage to opponents. Terrafin was brought back in the second game Skylanders Giants, and continues to be a well loved figure. Activision recently announced their plans for a third game called Skylanders Swap Force, due for release in Fall 2013. Whether Terrafin will be one of the 16 returing figure we do not know at present

Skylanders Terrafin is a Dirt Shark, from the Dirt Seas. Here, creatures swim, snorkel and bath underground! Terrafin was the local lifeguard until an explosion caused the Dirt Sea to turn into a sheet of glass. Changing career, he became a boxer, and quickly became the local champion. After meeting Master Eon, he decided to put his new found skills to good use, and join the Skylanders.

Series 1 Skylanders Terrafin

This is the figure from the first Spyro’s Adventure game, and has green plastic at the bottom of the base. The base of the figure is covered in brown rocks and turquoise crystals, showing that Skylanders Terrafin belongs to the Earth group of figures. The figure itself is pretty awesome. He looks like a shark, but with huge fists. He is posed ready for action, with his teeth bared! The Series 1 figure will play in the Giants game.

Series 2 Skylanders Terrafin

Skylanders terrafin The Series 2 figure has orange at the bottom of the base and was produced for the Giants game. The figure has a slightly different pose from the Series 1 version, and has large spiked knuckle weapons. He certainly looks a formidable opponent! This figure also has a special “Wow Pow” upgrade power and at a certain point in the game you can choose from two different upgrade paths. You can decide to improve his burrowing abilities or work on improving his Punch Attacks. The Series 2 figure will work in the original Spyro’s Adventure game.

Series 3 Terrafin

At present I don’t know if there will be a Series 3 version in the Swap Force game. All Activision have said at the moment is that 16 figures will be returning and one of them is Stealth Elf. Once i have any additional information, I will update this page.

The Series 1 figure is only available packaged, in the Pirate Seas Adventure Pack. However you can find him unpackaged on sites such as Amazon. The Series 2 Figure is available in a single character pack and a triple pack along with Series 2 Eruptor and Series 2 Stealth Elf.
