Skylanders Warnado The Mightly Air Turtle

Skylander Warnado is a popular character who we first saw in the Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure video game. They actually made a very rare glow in the dark version of the figure too. Unfortunately, Warnado did not return in the second video game of the series called Skylanders Giants. Activision recently announced the 3rd game in the franchise called Swap Force, due for release in Fall 2013. The question is, will Warnado return for a second time in this new game? We will have to wait and see!

Warnado’s story is a strange one! He hatched in the middle of a furious and powerful twister. This led to him learning many of the Air Element secrets and abilities, making him a very powerful force to be reckoned with, and a unique turtle! He then decided to become a Skylander and help fight the evils threatening the Skylands.

The Skylanders Warnado Figure

Warnado stands on a pedestal decorated with clouds, showing that he belongs to to the Air Element group of figures. The bottom of the figures base is also green showing that he is from the Spyro’s Adventure video game. He is a most unusual looking turtle! He is completely blue, and his shell and head are covered in spikes.

Glow in the dark Warnado

warnado-glow-in-dark This is a very rare figure produced for the Spyro’s Adventure game. It is essentially the same as the regular version, but painted in glow in the dark paint. It appears just like regular Warnado in the video game itself. This glow in the dark toy is quite rare, and was only produced in limited quantities. It was not produced for a particular promotion, but was randomly distributed on store shelves alongside the regular figure. Due to it’s rarity, glow in the dark Warnado, be found in limited quantities on sites such as Amazon and eBay, but at inflated prices.

Warnado is an Air Skylander. This type of Skylander uses the Element Air to generate wind and storms to destroy enemies. The color of this element is light blue. Air Skylanders in their toy form, stand on a pedestal of clouds.

Warnado’s Basic Abilities (These are available at the start of the game)

Spin Attack – Primary Ability – Warnado spins in his shell to destroy opponents.
Summon Tornado – Secondary Ability – Warnado spins rapidly generating a tornado that picks up enemies.

Wind Elemental

Warnado is available in a single character pack, and a triple pack along with Ignitor and Camo. The glow in the dark figure is available in single character packs and in a triple pack with regular Ignitor and Camo, in very limited quantities on sites such as eBay and Amazon.
